Erik Johansson Photography

Erik Johansson Photos:

#1 Twisted Seasons

I chose this image because it really twists with your mind, seeing two seasons clashed into one setting. I presumed it was spring and winter. I like how the winter sections is flipped upside down as if the image isn't already backwards and abnormal. I just really like the picture and the unordinary of it.

                                                                         #2 Set them free
I chose this picture because it was visually appealing to me. I liked how it used the picture frame and it seemed as the water and boats were pouring into the ocean. I really like how in the picture its a nice and bright sunset with shining water but the actual water is dark and gloomy. I just thought it was a really cool photo.

                                                                       #3 Work at sea
I chose this particular photo because i really liked how it looked like the actual ocean but then it slowly faded into looking like boards. I like the contrast of colours how everything is black and white then the water is blue. It makes it really eye popping.

Retouch a Bland Model Portrait in Photoshop

Portrait Photo #1

Portrait Photo #2

                                                                     Portrait Photo #3

Portrait #1 is of Tina Nguyen, portrait 2 is of Kelsey Joeseph and portrait #3 is of Mr. Simns.
I first started off with selecting the area i wanted to focus on hence her face and hair.
I had to get rid of the original background so the face would be a main focus. I then had to refine
the edges as best i could so they weren't so jagged. I started to touch up any of the skin flaw an blemishes they had with the spot healing tool. Going back on to the first layer I removed any bags they had underneath their eyes. Putting another layer over I then removed any hotspots there were with the patch tool. Step 8 is makeup. The fun part. I used the paint brush and created a layer for each area. (eg. eyes, hair, lips) I adjusted the opacity on the layers so it wasn't a dramatic. I didn't adjust the hair much but I did not do their eye colour .This is a brief overview of how I did my images.
